Editorial Policy
These principles guide how AIByer researches, verifies, writes and publishes its journalism.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Accuracy first
AIByer aims to publish information that can be supported by credible evidence. Material factual claims should be supported by appropriate sources before publication.
Where information cannot be independently confirmed, the article should make that uncertainty clear rather than presenting the information as established fact.
Sources and attribution
AIByer may use official statements, security advisories, technical documentation, research publications, regulatory information and reputable reporting as sources.
When a claim belongs to another organisation, researcher, company or individual, attribution should be preserved.
Primary sources
Where practical, AIByer prefers primary evidence such as official advisories, company statements, technical documentation, vulnerability records, regulatory notices and original research.
Uncertainty
Words such as “reported,” “according to,” “appears,” “may,” “alleged” and similar qualifications are important when evidence is incomplete.
AIByer should not strengthen an uncertain claim simply to make a headline or story sound more definitive.
AI and automation
AIByer uses software automation and artificial intelligence in parts of its newsroom workflow. These tools may assist with discovery, organisation, research preparation, drafting, verification workflows, distribution and other newsroom tasks.
AI-generated output is not automatically treated as evidence. Important factual claims should be supported by the underlying sources used for the article.
Articles intended for publication are subject to human editorial review before approval.
No fabricated material
AIByer does not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, invented statistics, fictional sources or information created solely to make a story more compelling.
Headlines
Headlines should accurately represent the underlying reporting. They should not intentionally exaggerate the evidence or remove important uncertainty contained in the story.
Opinion and analysis
Analysis should be distinguishable from straight reporting. Opinions, interpretation or forward-looking assessments should not be presented as confirmed facts.
Conflicts and commercial influence
Advertising, sponsorship or commercial relationships should not determine the factual conclusions of AIByer reporting.
Sponsored or paid material will be identified when AIByer introduces such content.
Corrections
When a material factual error is confirmed, AIByer aims to correct it promptly and transparently in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
